Okay after asking the official battlefield twitter why the range for reviving is longer on the pc in comparison to console, i got no reply. After trying several things out i couldn't find a way to get the longer range, but then by turning on colorblind mode the range increased. So reviving is a lot easier and comes close to the reviving in the BF3 BETA.

Just simply turn on colorblind mode, and enjoy your longer revive range ^^

It changes the colour of your friendly and enemy names, and the revive symbols etc on your screen and map. The colours it actually changes seem to be a lot deeper in colour too.
