Pokemon Fallacy

Pokémon Fallacy takes place in an alternate region where Team Rocket has managed to find themselves in power and bringing in new young and old powerful trainers for their malice reasons.

The leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni, has managed to get a hold of some ancient DNA of Mew and has successfully created a clone of Mew, now known as Mewtwo. Giovanni struggles to keep Mewtwo under control while managing Team Rocket.

You live in a medium sized town filled with many children all hoping for the same goal in life to come true, to become a Pokémon master. The reign of Team Rocket has not yet hit your small town of Ember Town and the surrounding cities but the tyranny of Team Rocket is not far away.

You and your best friend are now old enough to have your own Pokémon and to set off on your own adventure. You both head over to the professors’ building to choose the Pokémon that will get you started on your long adventure in the world of Pokémon.

The professor asks the two of you a sequence of questions in order to determine the best 3 Pokémon you should be offered. The Pokémon possibly offered being “Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totadile, or Pikachu”.

After selecting your Pokémon the professor hands the two of you your very own Pokedex and trainer ID card.

Your friend asks whether or not you want to go and practice battling; if you accept then he/she leads you out to the grass where a double battle ensues between you, your friend and two wild Pokémon. If you decline then he/she tells you that he/she hopes to see you soon and parts way.

Your character is now forced to head into the grassy area and shortly enters a small forest. The forest is filled with many different types of wild Pokémon. If entering the forest at night, a player can see in the trees small lights in the tree. The forest isn’t too difficult to navigate through, there are some small boulders/rocks that can be moved or smashed that lead to an underground hidden area for the more powerful trainers who had previously came from Ember Town and the towns surrounding. When the player exits the forest, there is a small route that must be navigated; this is also where the player will have their first trainer battle.

The trainer is a new trainer, their Pokémon of choice, Pichu or Eevee level 3. The Pokémon of choice is determined by the selected Pokémon of the player. After the battle, the trainer will begin to cry and run off dropping some supplies.

The player may pick up the dropped items and will awarded 3.50$, 4 Poke balls and 1 Potion.

The player now exits the route and enters the city.

The city is a larger, metro politician like city. It is large and homed to many different trainers and a powerful gym leader.

The gym is home to the 6[SUP]th[/SUP] gym leader, she is not there at the time but will return.

Hey, if you're actually making this in advance map, I'd love any pointers you can give. I've been trying to make my own version for a while and would appreciate any help or ideas I could get. Happy

I'm actually going to program the whole thing in C# with XNA. This project would essentially teach me all the fundamentals to 2D game development and be a fun project for the next several months.

Yea, it would be easier to do in Advance Map if I had script editors and such but as a hobby programmer, seems more fun to code myself.
