The Reson You Get The Error Is Because You Have To Delete Your Save Game Data And Put a Fresh Clean One On Then Go To FTP Server Or What Ever You Use Comginies

it's because you're installing the pkg which you should only use if you're going to play on 3.55. find the update.img of the mods you want and replace it with the one that's in the 1.06 patch.

Yes,
make sure you have played and updated gta4 to the newest update on your 4.20
Then data transfer to your 3.55, by using a spoofer.
On your 3.55, replace the update.img with modded one through FTP(DO NOT USE pkg files!!!)
Then deactivate spoofer, to data transfer from 3.55 to 4.20
On 4.20,Finally pop in GTAIV, then play!!!
