Never played dead rising 2, but dead island is very good really fun lots of replay but then again dead rising may have too

I looked at some game play videos, checked some reviews, viewed some ratings. I have to say Dead Rising looks better, but Dead Island looks good too. Although I can't seem to choose. :/ FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS

I prefer dead island it is a bit more realistic but its your opinion.

Well, i had dead island and it was fun but the problem is.. the multiplayer gets boring in my opinion because the story is always the same and you need to keep doing that again and again the same missions online or story mode, they needed to do a character customization.. A little different dialog would be appreciated as well as the ability to track a side quest while in co-op, even if you've started a main quest.... I mean, really?? well i got bored with the game, ive played too much lol I had left 4 dead when i had xbox360 and then yes, that game was fun.. much more than dead island in my opinion. a shame that they dont have left 4 dead for ps3, i would totally buy.
But in dead island.. i would like if they had different style on multiplayer... but the guns customization is really nice, we have alot of fun, you can kill zombies with alot of different weapons, and this is really funny.. but the story is crap... the dialogue between the characters is so limited..,repetitiveness of the quests and revisiting of zones.. * i sold the game to get skyrim bc i was bored with the multiplayer* but this is just my opinion.. Dead rising.. i didnt play that much tho... so i dont know about dead rising..:l

I have both. Dead Rising kinda sucks. Only fun if you play through with a friend you know you'll have a good time with and make the most of the game. For example we ran into one of the stores and he grabbed mayonnaise and realized what it looked like when you squirt it out. Had a good time with that for a good while. So if you have a friend who you really have good chemistry with to play it with then Dead Rising for sure. Also Dead Rising is more humorous, while Dead Island is more serious. As for Dead Island, It has a great replay value. If you have 4 friends you will have alot of fun. As some other post said the weapon customization is cool. Collectibles are cool. If you have 3 friends with the game that you don't exactly have great chemistry with but you can still hold a conversation and are comfortable with then this is good if you don't have a really close friend with Dead Rising. It all comes down to what kind of friends you have.

I enjoyed Dead Island a lot more than Dead Rising 2. Mainly because of the 4 player co-op and the somewhat "serious/realistic" approach to the game. It might get kind of boring playing it solo though.
So, I'd go with Dead Island. (if you have friends to play it with)

Dead Island for sure. I have both games, and I can honestly say hands down that Dead Island is the BEST game I've EVER played. It's addicting, and can be played multiple times through the story mode without getting boring.
