Adding car mods to your game



First make a backup of your normal vehicles.img in:
Programfiles(x86 for some people)/Rockstar games/Grand theft auto IV/pc/models/cdimages
Then download SparkIV. (You must login or register to view this content.)
Then download a car mod somewhere (You must login or register to view this content. for example)

Like You must login or register to view this content. (click for download; credits go to gtainside.com and creator Eryk03)

Now first extract this file you have downloaded to a certain folder

Now open SparkIV. It will look like this:

Then click the open button.

You must login or register to view this content.


Now you need to open the vehicles.img in Programfiles(x86)/Rockstar games/Grand theft auto IV/pc/models/cdimages

You must login or register to view this content.


Now you will see a list with cars. Click the Import button.

You must login or register to view this content.


Now go to your folder from the car mod you have downloaded and extracted. And import the .wft file.
Do the same with the .wtd file.

You must login or register to view this content.


Now press Rebuild and after that press save. Close SparkIV.
Now start GTA IV and you will see the car mod with the car you replaced. Like the picture above it is the airtug.

NOTICE! : Do not use carmods in multiplayer! If u want to do MP, be sure to remove your carmods first!
(it causes lag and it will disconnect or crash the game of the other players)

Not bad, but looks like copy & paste work here, and even if you get them, what's the point? To look cool around the pedestrians? Cause I can guarantee this won't work online.

i never said it would work online ? + whats the point ? well to have cool cars in game .. & i got the car mod for ps3 as well but i"m not releasing it yet .
