Won't regret it it's by far the best shooter out at the moment. Especially with the DLC they bring out, it's practically a separate game.

Lights is right. Whether or not you are the kinda guy to go pure gun on gun or you fall in love with the vehicles, you will love BF3. It is the best FPS out there atm. The weapons are much more realistic than CoD, the vehicles are just epic, and if you want to win you have to work with your team... Simple as that. Also if you feel like going competitive, BF3 is great for that too. EA is going to be hosting tourneys soon and there are other sites like fraggednation that offer tournaments and ladders.
