(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); DICE is already working on Battlefield 4, and Electronic Arts is beginning promotional efforts for it. Many fans thought that this would spell the end for Battlefield 3 support, however the publisher is promising that there is still life in Battlefield 3, and that they will continue to support it well past the release of Battlefield 4.

“We are committed to providing an excellent Battlefield 3 experience well into the future, past the releases of Aftermath, End Game, and Battlefield 4,” said EA on a post on the Battlefield blog. “DICE is continuing its work on Battlefield 3 alongside Battlefield 4.”

This is all i'm thinking at the moment with all the posting of Battlefield 4 news etc.
Battlefield 3 hasn't been out for a year, and they still have the 3 huge DLC's to release, I just wish that people would remember that Battlefield 3 is still a relatively new game and Battlefield 4 won't be released until late next year, and so focus on the current game with it's awesome expansions that are arriving and forget about the new game for at least until after March when Aftermath is released.

Yeah, the support will extend for it on PC. Console will be forgotten. That's how I see it anyway. :(

Unless the current gen games can be played on the next gen, then maybe they'll support it still for console.

I do. Since the BF4 beta is being held in Fall 2013, and a beta is held usually 3-6 months before a games release, this puts the release of BF4 in Q1 or Q2 2014. So BF3 will have a good long run. I don't want BF to turn into a CoD type of franchise but when BF4 comes out, I hope in one of the DLC's they bring back some fan favorite maps that were in BF3 into BF4 like B2K was from BF2 into BF3.

I just wish it had been Bad Company 3. I never really got into BC2, only reached like level 30.
To me it had much more replay value, I'm kinda bored of BF3 already after hitting colonel, and i'm only service star 10.
I was hoping they'd bring back maps from BC2 but they won't seeing as it was a sort of spin off.
Guess i'll just have to get back onto BC2 to fill my battlefield addiction :p

The only BC2 maps I wan't on BF3 are Laguna Presa, Port Valdez and Heavy Metal. Those where my favorite BC2 maps. If they brought back those three maps I would fucking love dice forever
