(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Today, a new patch has been released for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Included in the 1.13 patch is 137 pieces of downloadable content, and a new game mode.

Lots of new stuff came out today with Uncharted 3 and the 1.13 patch. The most exciting one is the new tournament mode. Each week you will get 10 tickets (you can get more from the Playstation Store). With these tickets you use them to enter into a game, you have the options of Team Deathmatch, Three-Team Deathmatch or hardcore. The way you play determines how many points you get to be placed in the tournament standings. For example, if your team wins, the other team will receive 0 points. When it comes to the end of the week, your points will be added up and you'll be shown where you stand with the others. If you rise above the others you will be placed in the three reward tiers. For being in these three reward tiers you will get one of the following in-game items: Costume Pieces or skinned weapons with mod slots. You will be able to use the items you get for the next tournament. Leaderboards are not out yet, but they will be soon.

There will also be 137 DLC available starting August 14th for the multiplayer. You can get the DLC by earning in-game levels, treasure sets, or buying it from the Playstation Store. Be aware though, some of the DLC you get will have pros but cons as well. Naughty Dog has given us more information on why they're having different ways of earning the content, "The microtransaction stuff is sort of Naughty Dog's way of testing the waters with these ideas and sort of seeing how this is going to pan out for us, because these are inevitably, I believe, systems we're going to have to have in place. We kind of see Uncharted 3 right now as a way for us to see how we're going to internally do this stuff."

In some of the previous Uncharted games, there have been block mesh maps which is basically "a geometric shape with no art and simple color". We got more details from Naughty Dog, "The thing that's pretty awesome about this system that we created for this patch is that these block mesh maps can be updated in real time, so the idea is we'll upload a map that people will be able to play for two weeks, we'll play it for, say, a week, get some feedback from people in the community, and then we'll be able to actually change the geometry in that map when people log back in to play it."

50 new trophies have also came out for the multiplayer. 3 silver, and 7 bronze for every DLC. Uncharted 3 will keep being supported as long as people play it Cogburn stated.
