If you bought BF3 used and try to go online, you might see that you need a code to get online, which costs $10 on the PS Store, XBL or Steam. In this tutorial, I will show you how to get the online pass completely free. This tutorial should work for all systems, but I can only verify it works for PS3 and 360.

Wait until you get an operator, and here's what a successful conversation will look like. Remember to be nice to your operator, or else they WILL end the chat, and you won't get your code.

you: Hi
Operator: Hi, what can i help you with today?
you: I got a new Limited Edition of BF3 for PS3, and when I tried to input the online code, the PlayStation Store says the code is invalid. The code is XXX-XXXX-XXXX

They will then ask you some more questions to verify, and then you should get a code.

Here's where the Amazon receipt generator comes into play:

If they ask you for a receipt, make a fake one with Amazon receipt generator, and fill the fields like this:

Item: Battlefield 3 - Limited Edition
Price: $59.95
Order Date: Any Date works, has to be in the past of course (derp)

Fill in the name and address fields with the information you gave to the operator (Name, address, birthday, etc)

If they ask for the receipt, take a screenshot of it, and send it to the operator. They should then be AFK for a few minutes, and may ask you some questions, but eventually they should give you a new code.

Here's a tip of advice that will help you with all of this: Talk nicely to the operator, you have a better chance of getting a code then. Some operators are just having bad days, so don't expect to get a code from them.
