First of i dont know if this has been posted i just glanced down the first page in this section and i didnt see anything so i thought id post it, next of all i didnt find this im just here to spread the word and let you know that it does work (with diamonds atleast)

so here is what your gunna need

• Minimum of 1 diamonds
  
• Loads of furnaces (you lose the furnace when you do this glitch but you come out with plenty of diamonds)
  
• Pickaxe (any type i belive but i used iron)
  
• shovel (again i belive its any type but i used iron)
  

1. Place down your furnace and jump on the top
   
2. hit the furnace with a pickaxe untill it looks like its about to break
   
3. before it breaks switch to the shovel and finish the furnace off
   
4. if done right so far the furnace should break but still be there
   
5. now with the diamond selected hover over the square where you put the smeltable items
   
6. keep pressing A rapdifdly
   
7. the furnace will break and you should be left with the one diamond and a 64 stack of diamonds aswell as a diamond left on the floor
   
8. stand on this diamond and pick up the 64 stack of diamonds in your inventory
   
9. keep throwing them on the floor and stood ontop of the one you cant pick up
   
10. profit
