I get where you're coming from, but I feel like the next generation needs to wait a few years. The PS3's graphics still look appealing to the eye, and so do the Xbox 360's. The Wii however required the upheaval due to less public interest and overall low tech. The PS3 and Xbox 360 can still compete with the Wii-U. But to each their own opinion.
They look appealing to the eye for some games, like call of duty, but when it comes to games like Battlefield, there is no doubt that the console version isn't even close, the consoles need much more improvement, so graphics isn't the problem with a next gen console, it's the hardware and features, what are they gonna do to make it run smoother (make it so it doesn't lag etc... and still keep it between $500), and sounds really hard to even that with the PC gamers, but again the graphics are definitely upgradeable as of now, they're waiting for better hardware.
