Now this is a little odd from Valve, but not stupid. In fact this is quite a brilliant idea. This could bump Steam's subscriber numbers way up making them a new mainstream console, possibly knocking the Wii out of the Big 3?

In the listing Valve states "we're traditionally a software comapany.." they go on to say "we're frustrated by the lack of innovation in hardware space though, so we're jumping in." Sounds like Valve plans on bringing out the big guns. Rumors are pointing to the illusive You must login or register to view this content.. Now this job listing could very well mean just a simple new keyboard, mouse, headset, etc. Not a console, but Gabe Newell, the big man behind Valve's twisted games, has stated that Valve will have new hardware in its future.

Could we be looking at a new dedicated console for Steam? We may very well see this and the rest of the new toys at E3 2013.

So what's everyone's thoughts? Will Valve deliver on time? Will this new hardware take another 30 years? How about all of the new "toys" I mentioned, which are you guys the most excited for?

Oh yeah, this would be big. I totally support Valve and any atttempt they might make to get into the console hardware market. I'd be a day 1 buyer, no doubt.

I'm not sure if i'd actually like a 'Steam Box', many people would but to be honest.. I'm fine with my trusty PC and would only buy valve hardware if it had some significant benefits.
