Actually the 1st time I used it was in hardcore (because that's the only mode I play in) and it did kill me. A few times it killed me in normal mode (the mode this video was recorded in). I can say that in hardcore it's gonna kill you 99% of the time. I did tweet @Battlefield and supposedly they are now aware of it. Not sure when a fix will happen though.
