I would say that you could almost always find me playing on Engineer, and occasionally on support. I have left a list from my own personal experience from play BF3 and have came up with these results. So, what are you guys? :p

Assault

• Usually in the back picking off enemies trying to sneak up behind your squad. Only goes out on the Battlefield to revive friendlies, but mostly behind cover.
  
• Generally the medic, revives people and doesn't do to much shooting in general.
  
• Provides people health when needed and helps cover their backs.
  
• Almost always provides cover fire for friendlies to help make sure they stay alive
  
• Usually doesn't get to many kills, but a lot of deaths.
  

Engineer

• Normally found riding in some kind of vehicle (i.e. Tanks, Jets, Helicopters, occasionally rides/drives jeeps.
  
• Helps repair tanks and friendly vehicles.
  
• Takes down enemy air craft from your base.
  
• Normally one of the guys on the front lines on the Battlefield helping shoot tanks with the RPG/SMAW
  
• Normally the one that goes out to capture flags on conquest and does all the work.
  

Support

• Main guy on the front lines of the Battlefield, manning machine guns, helping Engineers, etc.
  
• Helping other friendlies keep their ammo up.
  
• Usually the ones who get the most kills/deaths.
  
• Help friendlies take down tanks by sneaking up on them and planting C4.
  
• Occasionally behind everyone using a Mortar.
  
• Usually providing cover fire for friendlies
  
• Sometimes found in building manning machine guns to help provide cover fire.
  

Recon

• Almost always behind everyone
  
• Always using the Sniper to pick off enemies or spawn camp.
  
• Hardly ever gets killed.
  
• One of the players that gets a lot of kills but hardly any deaths.
  
• Usually found in building,

Assault the fire power just soo good engineer is quite nice too nice mix of fire power vs vehicle power

Recon can be fun i don't like support too much

I disagree there. The Assault guys are often on the front line. First ones in and first ones out. The engineer on the other hand is more the one who clears out buildings and covers the squad.
As for support yes they are on the front lines but I still find more of them mounted down with an LMG. For the recon guys your spot on.

My favorite would have to be Assault, love the weapons and medic kit. Every once in a while I go back to support/engineer but for the most part I play as Assault.

My favorite is the assault class on TDM. I love the weapons on there and being a medic. Sometimes on objective games I'm also sometimes Engineer/Support to help with anti-vehicle support. Rarely ever Recon.

This is me, for some reason if I play by myself I get stuck with the team that sits in the spawn trying to get a jet or chopper. Sometimes I switch to medic as I think the AUG is my most preferred gun

Yeah, I would have to say the same. I'm usually one of the guys that goes out to capture flags, or goes to plant the bomb, and if I die, and a helicopter or a jet is available, then I may hop in one for a bit and fly it around, but I hardly ever set there and spawn camp a jet or a helicopter. I think everyone should deserve a turn at them. :p

Same as... Im the one that normally gets to the flags quicker than anyone else and then gets killed because theres no support.. I use Engineer mainly for most maps but smaller maps I'll use Medic!!! I'll do the same, I'll try get flags but if teams shit & can't fly Heli or Jet then I'll jump in and try help from the air...
