Just get the game disk.

yes you can mod gta iv & TBOGT if you buy them from the psn store but you'll need to data transfer from your ofw to your cfw put the update.img on then transfer back and i'm not 100% sure if 4.30 ofw still has data transfer still and if you buy the disk you'll still be able to mod it either way

You can, juste put update.img in your USRDIR folder.

Its NPUB###/USIRDIR/UPDATE/update.img
for the digital version.

Its better for modding anyway. Less lag and more to mod.

gta iv (disc) is pretty straight forward just replace update.img file.as far as i know you can only mod the tbogt if you download it and req's 2 data transfers. but with the latest 4.30 update you can't data transfer

The digital copy is better but you can't test the mods on the 3.55
Ps store version of game requires 3.60 firmware or above to run it...
So if you wanted to make sure the mods work before you data transfer back to online ps3, you can't. you would have to data transfer and see if it works. lol
Disc version = can test on 3.55
***Important if you get the disc version make sure it is only gta4. We can NOT mod the disc with all DLC's on it. Do NOT GET "Episodes from Liberty city"

yea it would as long as it would run on your current cfw so i say wait for 4.30 to be fully exploited so it can be flashed on systems higher then 3.56 assuming its still a old hardware ps3

why you cant data transfer with ofw 4.30? the option to data transfer is still there.

because when i tried it wouldnt let me transfer to 3.55 ps3 with a 4.25 spoofer installed if you know another way please tell me so i can do it.
