The game has been given a Mature rating on the website. There is no official release date or announcement yet that the game is coming to the PlayStation 3. Back in January this year, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City were both rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board for release on the PS3 as a downloadable PlayStation 2 classic, with GTA: 3 having been released already. We can expect a release of Vice City and San Andreas in the coming months as PS2 Classics on the PlayStation Store most likely.

I got GTA III as well, it plays exactly like popping a ps2 game into a bc ps3. I was disappointed, I already have all the ps2 gta games and a bc ps3.
I wish they would have done something like doom 1 and 2 on the doom bfg edition. That game is not HD, but you can play it without signing out of psn, and there are trophies.
