I rarely play any of these anymore, but, I grew up playing these games. Good times!

If you are planning to play dead or alive for fun with friends you will have a blast. If you also want to invest time and get good at the game and play competitively with friends or in tournaments then this is a great game to pick up. The only downside is the AI if you plan to play against the AI. They counter everything and read you like a book on the harder difficulties. Its just insane man. I plan to spend some great deal of time on this game once i can clear survival mode on the hardest difficulty.
