I did not found the video too great because he basically went everywhere with the GamePad off so I didn't knew exactly how accurate it was.

I cannot go very far with my game pad before it loses connectivity. I don't have a very big house, all I did was go into the room next to the room with the Wii U, and lost connectivity. If the wall wasn't in the way, I would say less than 10 feet. I imagine being in a different room had something to do with it.
