I just tried resigning it with Xploder - it all went fine, I copied it to my PS3 and it copied fine, loaded up Borderlands 2 and got the same message.
The exact step by step process that I took was:
- Download save
- Copy save to USB stick
- Download alternate games.conf file
- Use this games.conf with BruteforceSaveData to resign the save
- Copied to PS3 - the file copied fine but when I booted up Borderlands 2 it said "Unable to load profile data because it was corrupt. This profile will be overwritten with default values"
- Removed USB from PS3 and put back in PC
- Opened Xploder and moved the save from the right panel to the left (removing it from my USB)
- Copied it back from the left panel to my User account in the right panel
- Copied it back to the PS3 - copied fine as before then the same error at title screen
Am I being a complete idiot and missing something? I have resigned many saves in the last few months, and never had a problem even when changing the region and using alternative keys.
If anyone can shed some light on this I would be eternally grateful and rep+.

Total noob with Xploder i use Game Genie...i always thought Xploder did all the work for you like Game Genie no need to use BruteForce really wish i could give more info on Xploder but looks like gamepwnzer is going to help you out.

had to edit didnt notice i uploaded a character and not the profile lol
oh and i tried on my own lol so dont think im lazy i corrupted my save file like 40 times so decided help would be better than messing up another 40 times XD
