Just don't put it in your inventory and the name will stay the same you can drop it on ground and equip it and it will stay the same name but once put it in your inventory it changes back.

Just wondering... Whats the stats for the gun?

Same as the Master Gee i just renamed it you can rename any weapon in title and prefix with existing weapon names. but they have to be equipped if try put them in the inventory they change back to original name

You can also name Class mods from shield/grenade mod names just by copying and pasting the title and prefix do this on equipped items.
