(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've completed the game through to PT2.5 with Gaige and have my other 4 characters at chapter 11 on PT1 (to unlock the 3rd and 4th weapon slots)

I don't really want to play them all right through so is there any way to clone my Gaige character?

I've brought the save over, decrypted it, edited it in Gibbed and amended the save slot...i've then updated and resigned the character and amended the file paths to the new save but the save is corrupt every time!

Obviously I cant call the file the same or it will overwrite my original Gaige character so could someone enlighten me!

Edit - Can this be done by creating a dummy file on the PS3 and then resaving the 'master' character as that dummy file?

Are you on ps3? If yes, start new caracter and quit (you just want the folder of their saves). Put these caracter on your usb stick. Mod your mechromancer in gibbed for cahnging the class and when you will have to save, change de name of the .SAV and overwrite your level 1 caracter. It work well but the skill point will be reset. Jut come back another time on gibbed if you want to max skilltree for your new cloned caracter.

When you clone it you can't load the 2 characters split screen at same time because it thinks its the same character.

No. They have now different number of save so they are different caracter.

I cloned 2 of my characters and changed the class and it won't let me split screen them in they are on different save slots to when i try to load them it says you can't load same character.

Zero is Save Slot 1
Gunzerker is save Slot 5

Still can't split screen them at same time.

Im a noob, but can someone explain to me step by step how to clone a character?

I can change my character into another but can't seem to clone it...

How I've done it -

1. create a dummy 'Zer0'
2. copy it to the PC and note its save number 22
3. copy my master 'Gaige' character to the PC
4. decrypt my Gaige character
5. open in gibbed and change class to Assassin etc...amend whatever else and set save slot to 22 in General and Raw tabs
6. overwrite my dummy Zer0 account
7. update and encrypt pfd
8. copy back to PS3

I can open both the master Gaige character and the new copy of Zer0 but they're both considered to be the same file now! The class has changed fine but the Gaige save and the Zer0 save both open the same thing lol


Any ideas?

Has nobody done this? At the minute it looks like you have to manually copy over all the visited locations, completed missions etc...

I'm sure theres an easier way!

I cloned caracters during holiday but for being honest, i dont know what went wrong for you. It worked for me so it must be a detail. I just dont know witch one...

i get it now

[as usual, always make backups *cough* graveyard *cough*

1) copy the dummy save from PS3 to a usb
2) open up the save folder and look at the .sav file
it should say save000X.sav
3) copy your gaige's .sav over the dummy .sav
4) decrypt pfd
5) open gibbed and change the save slot to the number from the .sav
6) change character, mod guns, etc
7) update and encrypt pfd
bring the usb back to your PS3
9) pray the save doesnt show up as corrupted
10) copy the save over
11) Profit
