the permanent borrow glitch only work when you have patch 1.05 but I have the platinum disc which has patch 1.13 on the disc so I cant do this

The app is a hell lot faster and if you're intending to borrow loads of cars it can save you from having to download all the patches all the time for each and every car you want to borrow glitch.

There was a rumour circulating around constantly borrow glitching (without the app) has got a person banned for trying to do so. Thus, I think there was a serious bug in older version of gt5 whereby if you had a savegame file that is beyond 4MB (I think) and you tried borrow glitching you end up losing all the cars in your garage except for the car you are borrowing. On GTPlanet you can find a very huge thread about borrow glitching and what people have found with the process. Some even say that you don't copy all the settings from what the previous owner had and so you end up with exact same car minus the set ups such as for instance drift setup.

In short, the app is well worth it if you have a PC (ideally, not a Mac unless you're very persistent), and a USB stick (obviously). I certainly would never had used the borrow glitch method had I not realise there was the app because there's a risk of me losing all the cars in my garage if my disc does not have the patch for savegame beyond 4MB (and my savegame met that exact same criteria).
