Post: Motor swap?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've been thinking and i also saw 2 mazda Rx7's with motor swapsand an Rx8. They had the same 4 rotor as the 787b.
Is this possible with a little time and dedication?
It would be epic having a 4 rotor in a miata.

Not the single offset, but the offsets surrounding it. So far I have messed about with suspension, bhp and the paint, and they were all quite close.

Oh! Now I know what you mean... *double facepalm 'cause 1 didn' cut it!

Mine's in E990 :troll:

Bhp? Same. Got some of the paint BS figured out aswell. Manages to change the body Color, crossing Silver Chrome from a Veyron to a G37. Need to figure out why
A) I can see it everywhere else as Silver Chrome (GT auto), but when I look at teh thumbnail or the car specs, it's the original color
B) The name of the color.

Yes BHP, that means our layout is probably the same, locations of tires etc. Press triangle on your car in your garage, and then refresh thumbnail. That should do the trick!

Oh. Really? Simple as that?

*head-keyboard, goes and find a rope and jumps*

You got skype? Seeing as we have the same layout, maybe we can discover some thing together :p But I must warn thee, this is the first time I have ever used HxD this intensely, so I'm a noob xD

Paint won't appear in the garage, but if you go to GT Auto then Garage then head back , the color goes back :/ So I tried it with a Sunfire, got the chrome in GT Auto, went to garage, looked at the spec page, was still black, went back to GT Auto, it then went back to black.

So playing around with HxD i found on the top bar where it says analysis.
Click it and click FILE COMPARE (same as ctrl+k) and select your comparison file.
I'm now going to work with a motor swap (787b) to a miata.

except there are hundreds of changed hex values, it's like finding a needle in a haystack without some kind of hint as to which ones are the engine codes...

I understand what you mean. I think I've already found that hint. I'm currently swapping out the 787b motor into the Miata. So far everything is going well except that the car won't shift up or down. It basically has 1 gear right now. I'm not sure if i should keep the Miata drive train or not. And the car is now registering as an MR just like the 787b.
