Ok, if you want to know how many total BHP you want (excluding oil refresh), here's an easy calculating method, it's actually very easy and basic maths. This is can be 100% accurate with premiums since they don't have any break-in (yet) or any wear and tare over time. Standards do, unles they are 0/0 cars (0 miles/km's/0 modifications) found in the Online Collector's Dealership.

The outcome is completely dependant on your base BHP. In my case this was 310 BHP, outputted by an RB26DETT in the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec (R33) '97.

Personally, I like creating replicas and keeping BHP's realistric (unlike many other that seem to think that this is another Need for Speed game...), thus staying true to the BHP's is necessary. So I needed to calculate what the multiplying values are BEFORE modifying my car. Here they are:

BHP multiplier @ 00 = base BHP = 310 BHP
@ 05 = base BHP x 1.1031158065
@ 06 = base BHP x 1.3258064516
@ 07 = base BHP x 1.54xxxxxxxx
@ 08 = base BHP x 1.76xxxxxxxx
@ 09 = base BHP x 1.9870967742
@ 0A = base BHP x 2.20xxxxxxxx
@ 0B = base BHP x 2.24xxxxxxxx (310 BHP x 2.24xxxxxxxx ≈ 694 BHP)
etc.
@ 10 = base BHP x 3.535483871
@ 11 = base BHP x 3.7580645161 (310 BHP x 3.7580645161 = 1165 BHP)
etc.

I hope you will have alot of vantage using this tutorial.

Please PM me if you have any questions, suggestions and/or if you have found any mistakes.

Thanks.

Edit: After some more testing, it actually doesn't seem to be quite that simple. There must me some kind of algorythm in it. Let me find it out. Apologies.

Edit 2: For some reason, the BHP multiplter seems to jump from x 1.9870967742 (09) to x 3.535483871 (10)...

Edit: That's odd. It only jumps between 09 and 10. After that, it seems to follow the same 0.22xxxxxxxx increase again. :yuno:

Edit 3: Thanks to Budddy everything is cleared up! 10 is suppsed to be 0A, and 11, 0B etc. D'OH it's hex! :dumb:

Dont want to use powerlimiter it is not the same.
Well i will explain what happend: for some reason when i add my blitz r34 engine to a car it gets around 1300hp and i didnt change any other value's but when i add a random other engine it gets the right amount of hp. I want a realistic hybrid not a 1300hp drift monster in a small r32 gts-t

quick tip

remember to find the parts you added to the original car if u want a built motor you use the parts that come with that motor not the parts of a r32

doing so can case the power to me too much or too littler depending on your applications

so that is the problem. the r34 blitz only have a couple parts to install it on. But is there still a way to downgrade hp with Hex? Is it just -01/-02 etc.?

To lower your hp you just edit the byte right next to the HP multiplier, it seem to be like a "reverse multiplier" but not 100% sure how to use it correctly. 1 car I changed it to 24 and ended up with a 22HP GTR then i tried entering 0A and now have a Celica rally car with 0hp. Since i used a lower number and got 0hp you would probably have to use higher values to lower hp less.

thanks, I've been looking for this as well (lower hp using hex). if anyone has figured out how it works please post it.. if not, i'll try to understand it.
