Post: Shifter kart 689bhp
03-21-2013, 09:44 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It's a 125CC model with a Z06 'RM 6 Speed rgearbox with reverse gear.
If you use Hyabusa engine and don't set HP multiplier you will end up
with a 166bhp engine. If you set the "HP" "multiplier to "10" you will
have 685bhp. Hope this helps more people wanting or trying to make a
shifter kart. ENJOY! Smile I have put a KEY LEGEND colour coding below
to help you find the 4 byte sets of values to change at offsets.

Do a barrel roll!
From what I have heard, if you want the turbo whistle noise you have to put a turbo aspirated engine into the car in addition to the turbo part. Example: NSX has a N/A engine, but put in a 2JZ engine and the turbo and supposedly you get the noise. This is just from what I've seen on other threads.

So I thought I might share my creation here instead of starting a new thread.

60 HP Elecrtic Shifter Kart:

Using a PDI Kart I added a Mitsubishi I-Miev motor (which is electric, 60 HP and 130 ft lbs) , mated to a Lexus ISF RM gearbox and custom ratios (which only gives 7 gears of the 8 ).
I'm still ironing out the gearing, this is only the best combo I've found so far. Anyway this electric motor suits the kart really well, it feels more controllable even. Too be honest though this motor might be better off with a CVT, but I havent tried that yet. I run this on the standard tires and normal grip, I only changed the engine and tranny.

Another good kart engine I've found is from the Honda Beat, Also the old Honda S500, S600, and S800 engines work well too. I haven't found good trannys yet though.
I tried out the GSX-R motor and its just too lively for this kart even detuned to 60 HP.

Yeah I appologise I'm new the hybriding GT5 (I did all the old GT's), so i haven't done much yet. I just haven't seen too much info on shifter karts yet, do you have a link to your thread or any? I tried a few searches and only came up with this thread.
