(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm still pretty new to the HXD Editing but I'm almost positive in order to get the Carbon hoods to work correctly on the standard models It would have to have a twin model in the Premium models so Preferably civics would be a good place to start trying to look, someone just needs to find the Before and After Off Sets for the carbon fiber hood for the Civic EK and then the trickiest part find the same off set for the hoods in the standard model which to me seems nearly impossible unless you actually create an offset for it which again Im pretty sure is impossible, But it cant hurt to try or at least look.

You are only editting your save file, the save file contains only customizable parts that PD itself allowed.

This won't be possible because it is a standard car and Polyphony stricted coded Carbon hoods for premium cars, attempting to place it in the same offset for standard cars will lead you nowhere but the same stock hood, this is part of the game file itself(CD data).

The difference between game files and save files is Game Files are basically what every game reads, In order to edit those types of files you need Jailbroken PS3 + need new offsets + know what you're doing.. because if you screw up then that's bye bye to your CD.

Save files only have a limited amount of edittable data, you can only do so much with hex.

In other words..
no this will not be possible because the games graphics/images were never coded to have a carbon hood on a standard car.(Where as taking off spoilers or hoods on premiums were ONCE placed onto the data when the models of the cars were being created so that made it possible)
In order to change parts it needs to have customizable parts in the first place, which bring the offset in, but even if you paste the same offset from an exact premium replica onto a standard it won't work because the game will simply ignore the pasted offset in a false section because it was never coded to work like that(Taking spoilers/hoods on premiums editting HP is just mixing up data that already exists within the game, this is a different aspect)

Anyway the model of standard car is not seperate. only the wing.So the whole car is a mesh. except the wing since you can change it...

Well you never know. you could try doing it the same way they remove hoods except use the hood code from a car with a CF hood an put it in place of the standard car hood code... idk its a thought but like most things its like 30% chance of working. but give it a try.
