I was in an online lobby about an hour and a half ago, so I think I'm in the clear for now.

I assume those banned ones are kid's that use a guest-name from the secret menu to troll around online.
Which I completely understand as "unacceptable".

They can't have banned too many people yet. I was in a hybrid lobby about half an hour ago and there were plenty of other hybrid lobbies kicking around.

Have taken my cars off share though just incase.

Ideally its always to keep as of a profile as you can. I'd steer clear of any races as these information could potentially be sent to PD's server, the only exception that I make is only if the race is between players (i.e. not some sort of host initiated type race where there's a countdown timer to the race). Also make sure to keep watch of your log under community, these logs cannot be deleted by hand and information are probably stored on PD's server as well.

Pretty sad that PD elected to do this, who knows if they are just sending out threat messages or they are actually persuing people. Also I guess nobody would know exactly what patterns of "hacked car" are they looking for. The overall sense is that it really does stir up commotion with the modded cars that people wished GT5 would have. For instance, de-spoilered cars, slammed cars, cars with legitimate engine swaps (which I have seen a fair proportion of guide makers here are trying to aim rather than unrealistic outcomes), etc.

Then again this was going to happen sooner or later (regardless of how they are going to handle the issue), it was all in the matter of time.

Lol I remember when Konami did this exactthing with MGO people just kept doing it an they eventually gave up but thenit got really out of hand an theyended up closing the game servers.

Well if its the case they are gonna start banning people then im off GT5 now. I had completed it virtually and was getting bored with it and the realistic hybrids had put the sparkle and interest back in the game for me.....

It was fun while it lasted, Oh well back to the game 'Sims' lol

to be honest im pretty sure there just trying to scare us this game is finished gt6 is comming at least 80% of users have hacked cars what are they going to do ban us all off PD's server? how are they going to sell gt6 if you dont want hacked hp cars put a hp limit in your server simple as that
