Otherwise other people that have been using them away from the seasonal events have been fine.


SO I have decided to test this. I set up a dummy account with a 2,xxx,xxx hp X1, did every time and drift trial available as of 2/1/2013 (Drift with a modified R34 with Z06 drivetrain). I woke up this morning not able to access any online capabilities on that account. I switched back to my primary account and it is still absolutely fine and working.

Here are some results I have from some other tests I have conducted

1.Red Bull X2010 Prototype 2,000,000hp. Raced various seasonal event races possible.Account Status: NOT BANNED
2.Used secret menu to change/alter my guest name and flag. Account Status:BANNED
3.Redbull X2010 Prototype 2,000,000hp. Raced seasonal time trials, golded all. Account Status: BANNED
4.Hacked Nissan R34 w/Z06 drivetrain, no Wing, Lowered. Did various drift trials. Account Status:BANNED

Yeah some F***** just came in the room i was in and froze it.. It's annoying af.

Can you clarify this please? Were you banned from TT's and DT's only and can still access online lobbies? Can you still share cars or are you banned from PD's servers entirely? Is it a PD server ban or a PSN ban (or worse?)

Did you have a separate account banned for each test or was it the same account? (In which case can you be sure which test was the banning offence?)

I've read elsewhere that someone was banned for using a hacked X2010 in a TT but could still access the online lobbies etc

I do hope that the banning penalties are soley for the users who are 'cheating' with the online races and not the folk just joining lobbies online. Such a shame to see all the fantastic realistic hybrids dissapear...

Once banned you cannot access ANY online capabilities on GT5. You just get the Network Error every-time you try to enter Seasonal Events or online lobbies. I have used various accounts on my other PS3 (The one mainly used for netflix and blu-ray) and a few on my main PS3 to find this out, hope that helps! Cheers!

Anyone have any extra current insight?

Got banned less than 24 hours after making/joining lobbies using the label_lounge feature on the main menu. Also switched the Guest Name on the label_lounge from the label_lounge options. Word to the wise, FUCK the label_lounge.
