I believe it does make it awd, it just doesn't show it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong lol.

I've found it can depend on which drivetrain you use. Try the premium '05 Subaru STI Type C. Copy the Drivetrain, LSD's, and add a torque setting. This made me an AWD Viper.

it will be shown correctly if you have torque split.and the LSD value (shown as 0 in LSD page but shown the value on the setting sheet)
