happened to me several times

if you use the same usb drive and the same port on the ps3 it seems to wear the port a bit, try making sure the usb is in straight and also clear the usb after so the only thing that is on it is your gt5 data, mine likes to stop copying sometimes and it will say your data is corrupt so try that it works for me
