All other folks, fire up your Editor of choice. As said, I'm going to describe it using the Garage Editor. You'll need TWO donor cars to hook up the values of the "sample" cars.. So maybe just insert 2 tickets for a car and redeem those two tickets in game.

Warning!
I'm going to describe how to add them on sheet A. So don't pick anything from your garage that isn't set to tuning sheet A!
If you just inserted new tickets and did not play around with them in game, you're ready to go..

Once your done with redeeming/adding two donor cars, reload your savegame into the Garage Editor.

Go into the "garage" tab. Select your first "donor" car (from YOUR garage on the right side).
Change the values on the right side if they differ (by clicking into the value field and typing) as follows:

Ok. Once your done with typing endless colons of hex wizardry stuff for those two "donor" cars, close your garage. Reload your savegame onto the PS3.
Directly select your first donor car from the garage in game. You'll see the color sample rotating.

Don't jump on it, you're not done yet!

Go to settings. Go to settings-sheet. Yeah, it is quite reasonable and not much what you see there. Don't worry. Copy over that setting sheet to setting B + C.

Close everything until you're back to your garage view (everything should be saved now by the game itself). Finally, re-select your "donor" car. Enter the "car".

You're done. The final "Wheel Color Sample" or "Car Color Sample" should show up as your "current ride"...

I am just wondering what the two cars are called in thumbnail garage view when/if you use the green ticket to obtain them?

I think you [q-k] mentioned that you were able to generate the green tickets and use them. So yeah, could you please let us know what the official PD name is for them?

I find this interesting but I'm not going to try it. I am one of the people who actually DOESN'T want a guy who rides around on a generic wheel... Otherwise everyone here is doing awesome things for this game.

I did not try the first option, I just used a 2J to start with and did everything except the transmission code, and it worked fine, gearbox is as 2J and adjustable.

I will carry out more experiments to see what is successful, thanks again!

quick question i followed your instructions for the wheel and it worked when i go to view it in garage but when i go online i end up with my donor car?
