Post: Update only one GT5 account? possible?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If one has more than one GT5 account, what would be the way to have only one account updating? Or do they all update as soon as you connect one of them on the same PS3?

Original question changed to how about running to different region version of the game, one with 2.11 and the other with 2.12.

The game update is per-machine. So all accounts on that machine are updated.

That ought to be one of the best solutions, yes.

Just buy a disc from a different region. That way you can have two game data files. One updated 2.12+ for online racing with clean cars. The other only updated to 2.11 for experimenting.

GT5 is cheap as chips on eBay now.

This could be a great solution. Are you sure there can be two different GT5 games together on one PS3 providing they are from different regions?

I think you should start the other region version with a new psn account, else your psn data will change a lot from what it was. Not sure if that is a problem, sort of the same as restarting the game i guess.

Do a barrel roll!
Wouldn't the format be different since the game being from a different country

As someone fortunate enough to have access to 2 PS3's, I will just accept the update on one console, and keep the other console at v2.11 so I can enjoy hybrids offline (which is 99% of what they were used for anyway)

The solution with the GT5 disc from another region as potential, we need clarification on how this would be done exactly.
Is there region to avoid for North American, Do we need to create a new PSN account or can one of the existing one be used.
As anyone done it successfully, I realize it is early yet since the changes from yesterday.
We have a least one workable solution with 2 PS3, not going online with Hybrid is not an issue for me, but I do not have 2 PS3 (yet) and would prefer to be able to have my cake and eat it with only one PS3.
