Probably true of the new super slimline ones because I think they start at an update past v.3.55 thus making them un-jailbreakable. There is no way that sony is selling the new consoles on v.1.00, that is why they can't be jailbroken. Also, MCLA has been hackable since 2011, this is not new, its just that GT5 is easily a better game than MCLA.

when i said i had the slim, i didnt mean the superslim one, i meant the 2nd gen ps3. and i took a look at MCLA hacking, it is a little harder to understand than GT5, but ive been hacking MCLA

I'm just gonna continue playing GT5, but from the things I've learned from GT, I will use HxD on other games like RE5, Shift 2, and many more. Didn't realize how easy it is to hex edit games on the PS3. I had MCLA, but sold it because it became boring very quick.

This Jailbreaks costs Sony,PD and all other Gameproducer a lot of money and I am sure they guys will do it like Microsoft banned consols permanent not only banned accs.

on Jailbreak ps3 if you sign in on it you get straight banned but if you do data transfer to another ps3 then you dont mainly because of the way that on the non jailbreak it looks exactly the same
