The game has been said in the past to come out for PS3, but not sure if 4J wants to do all that over again. Play on PC, it's way better.

the closest i can think of is lbp, there's literally nothing similar to minecraft on ps3
just stick with the pc game

Like Said before LittlebigPlanet 2 Is the best you'll get crafting and level creating wise. Try it if you haven't already. Or just get the pc or xbox version. Xbox is kind of a crappy version though.

There is nothing better than the classics. Just stay with PC. They say there may be Minecraft on PS3 but really at the moment it is just a rumour and nothing has been officialy announced.

Terraria is the absolute closest you will find right now.

However, Notch said that he has intentions of porting Minecraft to the PS3 soon.
