(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey all, I am a new comer here on NGU and I just wanted to point out something I have been running into (sadly my 1st post is about a problem xD)

So in resent light of the dreaded 2.12 update PD has ravaged upon us, I decided to go crazy with gt5 hacks (Before I did little things like wing delete etc.) but since I have no online access cause I refused to update, I needed something to fill that "gap". So like I said I started to mess with everything I could (Secret menu, text debug, tons of hybrids etc.) and while my game still plays overall, it seems the more things I do to my save, the worse my in game performance becomes, has anyone else noticed this at all?

I seem to get bad hicups and stuttering in races, especially in arcade mode. Other times my game will compleatly lock up on me, forcing a reset of my system. I just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing something similar, and if so maybe a quick fix or explanation? Thanks again all.

Do a barrel roll!
Do you have the issues only with GT5?

Do you have enough space on your HDD? Round about 2GB?

Are the GT5 Disc clean?

And try to clean up your Savegame. Delete Museum Cards (sometimes you have 8 Cards from 1 Car) for example!

I have found similar issues like the game stalling when I cross a finish line in a time trial race for up to 5sec and I'm the only one
on the track at the time? I've never been online either and im still only running on version 2.05! :( so I don't have any extra stuff like museum cards...?

Make sure that you do not have High Definition replays (sp?) ON in the secret menu. Although the replays themselves don't look any different, far more data is being written to the disk while the disk is trying to stream information into RAM. It causes horrible stalling.

You won't notice it much when you are on the track by yourself, but as you add cars it builds up. I thought is was online lag until I tried an arcade race and had the same bug pop up. I saw that I had turned the secret replay option ON. I turned it OFF again and everything works fine.

Thanks for the replies guys. I defiantly think the high quality replay mode was causing most of my issues, I have disabled it along with all other "Unnecessary" additions like Text Debug mode and my performance in game has returned to normal from what I can tell. Happy

Happy Hybriding all Winky Winky
