Though it’s probably not a “back of the box” feature, Grand Theft Auto V will feature real-time weather effects. What does that mean for you? It means you’ll see furious storms, ocean waves that will make you think twice about taking a swim, and rain forming in puddles of mud.

The confirmation comes from Twitter this morning, as Gamestop UK tweeted out the image above. The Grand Theft Auto series has always went with a realism approach, and being able to see storms dynamically generate and not just disappear when you travel somewhere will be a great touch.

Please let there be earthquakes etc that can destroy buildings and shit like that! Thoughts on this feature anyone?

With every little bit of information released about this game, I find my self getting more and more excited! I really hope they continue the old ways with including cheats; and I would really love it, if they went San-Andreas old school with the cheats (no wanted level, infinite health and ammo, cars don't take damage[still will be a good game w/out those ones; just will be kind of disappointed]).

For those who feel that cheats ruin a game, the could make them unlock-able via obtaining 100% completion.

Very interested to see how real-time weather works out.
