The car I'll be using to explain the process is the 430 Scuderia. It by the games data has no option to have forced induction.
Here it is normally. You must login or register to view this content.
Here is with the turbo installed. You must login or register to view this content.
There's not much to explain as I'm going to make this a very visual tutorial. If your familiar with hex this will be a walk in the park.

Most of the labeling is to help get your bearings. The two important ones are the turbo and boost controller. From all I've tested 00/00/09/1D is the default value for all n/a cars. Even tho they have no turbos. The boost controller will always be 0's for n/a cars.

FF/FF/FF/FF is the only value I could get to work for the turbo. For the boost controller 08/36/73/00/00/00 is the high range controller. There are more out there so play around with them!
a few notes
- The n/a car must be able to install engine levels.
- Once the turbo and boost controller are changed in hex, save copied to the ps3 and game started up. Be sure to either change cars or get an oil change.
- You can either install the engine levels before or after the modding. Either way this is the final piece needed to have the turbo gauge working correctly.
- Even with a gauge there is no real benefit of having it.
All input is welcome. More tips and info on turbos or controllers. Lets post them up and have this thread for what works. I'm on to trying to add different turbos but at this point I lose the gauge.
Here is a quick clip of the gauge and bov working.
*a huge thanks to razerman and Don-wakita for helping me figure these crazy hex values.
I put a supra turbo on a R32 Golf (NA) and it produces 877hp with a decent powerband, so it works.
I tried it on another car and it didn't work though, I don't think all turbo's work you have to find the right code just by trial and error until somebody does some wizardry and we know how to do it on any car.

I'm trying to do it in a gallardo, I tried it this way & another way i found on youtube, but it doesn't seem to work :argh::?:
Umm, I Have No Idea What You're Talking About.
I Just started messing with brute force & Hxd Like 4-5 Hours ago.. I Use to do garage editor only, Which is nothing compared to Hxd.. I've been doing some research & I Come back to 0...

Ok erm... you do know we can do chassis/engine swaps etc. now right?
Around E890 in HxD you'll see a big line of FF's something like 63 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
That first FF, replace with 74 -> 63 74 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
