Post: TUTORIAL: How to add a turbo *2.13*

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The car I'll be using to explain the process is the 430 Scuderia. It by the games data has no option to have forced induction.

Here it is normally. You must login or register to view this content.

Here is with the turbo installed. You must login or register to view this content.

There's not much to explain as I'm going to make this a very visual tutorial. If your familiar with hex this will be a walk in the park.

Most of the labeling is to help get your bearings. The two important ones are the turbo and boost controller. From all I've tested 00/00/09/1D is the default value for all n/a cars. Even tho they have no turbos. The boost controller will always be 0's for n/a cars.

FF/FF/FF/FF is the only value I could get to work for the turbo. For the boost controller 08/36/73/00/00/00 is the high range controller. There are more out there so play around with them!

a few notes
- The n/a car must be able to install engine levels.
- Once the turbo and boost controller are changed in hex, save copied to the ps3 and game started up. Be sure to either change cars or get an oil change.
- You can either install the engine levels before or after the modding. Either way this is the final piece needed to have the turbo gauge working correctly.
- Even with a gauge there is no real benefit of having it.

All input is welcome. More tips and info on turbos or controllers. Lets post them up and have this thread for what works. I'm on to trying to add different turbos but at this point I lose the gauge.

Here is a quick clip of the gauge and bov working.

*a huge thanks to razerman and Don-wakita for helping me figure these crazy hex values.

Thx for this tuto ;-)

I have add the rx8 turbo on a m3 csl with gt5 garage editor. Now the m3 have 672hp and 12000 rpm Max . I have test the same thing in the m3 coupe '07 but no success...i'll try today with hxd.

Sorry for my bad english.

Nice tutorial Smile

As I have these boost codes I'll post them here.

Supra RZ '97 Low & Mid RPM Turbo Controller = 082C 73000000
Supra RZ '97 High RPM Turbo Controller = 0836 73000000
Supra RZ '97 Super & Ultra RPM Turbo Controller = 0C12 6415234B

With Super & Ultra Controller you might get alot BHP off from your car which might be even useful somtimes.

Thank you, glad to see you figured this out. I received a Gallardo a week ago with turbo gauge and BOV noise from a friend who received it from a friend who received it from a friend... and so on, and I couldn't find the original creator to ask him how he did that. :( Now I can turbo my cars! =D

I noticed that with the super and ultra. It's the engine levels that kill off the hp. Which for most should be a good thing. The turbo and controller made the 430 have 155xxx hp haha.

Yeah Engine and ECU takes alot off if you modify turbo to FFF.. or the "_306_309" part to something else than FFF..

But make some stock car to have that turbo controller. It will have less BHP, And I used all FF.. on controller with my GT-R and it had like 44BHP only Happy

Can’t trickshot me!
Do you have to change the turbo code to FFFFFFFF or can I just do the controller?

Another guy said he put an rx8 turbo on an m3 a few comments up?

So surely it's possible? I hate what FFFFFFFF does to the powerband/torque etc.
