Game Information:

Developed By: 343 Industries
Publisher: Microsoft Studios
Platform: Xbox 360
Genre: First-Person Shooter

Synopsis (WikiPedia):

Halo 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries for the Xbox 360 console. It is the first installment in a new trilogy of Halo games, named the Reclaimer Trilogy. The game was released worldwide on November 6, 2012, with the exception of Japan where the game was released on November 8, 2012. Halo 4's story begins four years after the ending of Halo 3; the player assumes the role of the Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier. The story is mainly set on a Forerunner planet, where Master Chief encounters the alien race known as the Covenant and ancient warriors of the Forerunner empire known as the Prometheans. Master Chief is accompanied by the artificial intelligence construct Cortana.
Halo 4 was officially announced on June 4, 2011, at E3 2011. On September 26, 2012, it was announced that the game's development was complete. Halo 4 grossed US$220 million on its launch day, with an estimated gross of $300 million in its opening week, marking a new record for the franchise. The game received generally positive reviews from professional critics on release.

Graphics:

The graphics for Halo 4 in my opinion are more advanced than the past Halo's. I mean I would hope so since this is a newer game.

Campaign:

The Campaign takes place several years after the events of Halo 3, where Master Chief and Cortana are boarded on a ship known as Forward Unto Dawn. They are traveling through space until Cortana wakes Chief telling him that the Covenant are on the ship. Once you fight the enemies off, you get sucked into a gravity well, and land on a new planet called Requiem. Further into time, Cortana starts acting a bit strange and Master Chief questions her, and Cortana reveals that an AI's lifespan is normally seven years, and she is eight years old so she's going though this mode called Rampancy which will end up killing her. In this campaign new enemies have been created, they are known as the Prometheans. These new enemies and the Covenant Forces end up creating an alliance later on in the story and are commanded by the Didact.

Multiplayer:

This multiplayer introduced new features, these new features include; Join in Progress, Ordnance Drops, Sprint, and Loadouts.

Halo 4's mulitplayer is capable of being the best compared to Halo 2, 3 and even Reach. The only problem is things need fixed and I'm sure they will be with future updates.

Forge and Custom Games:

Forge barely differs from the one in Reach so I'm not going to go to much in detail, the only difference is a few tweaks and updates.

Custom games became limited, and game modes were replaced, for example Juggernaut was replaced with Regicide. 343 is still having issues with the file browser. In the future more things will become able for customization.

Rating:

8.5/10

Overall, the game was pretty fun, once more DLC and updates become available the game will be better.

I actually hated the promethean Knights. The story was a bit more emotional than other halo games but that was okay I guess.
