it won't work.
if you do a engine swap on 2.11 and than update to 2.13, the car will reset to factorystandards.
did you try to install hidden parts on that car? like turbo stage 4 or 5?
you can do the FF thing on the turbo but someone mentioned that you will lose the enginesound if you can install a turbo in game.

*edit*; i did a quick test on the 240zg (not the fairlady 240zg) and you can't install stage 4 or 5 turbo on that car.

make sure your current car is NOT the car you want to mod when using Slim's editor!!

Sorry about calling you Dan there don. Im try it again tonight and see if i can make it stay. I had it at 615hp but am still new and had changed the oil & everything before i tried moding it so it went back to 1 hundred and something hp, but could not get it to mod the next 3 times i tried. Epic fail on my part.

if you already have done an oil change in gt auto you can also add a spoiler or swap rims, basically anything to get the game to update your car data along with the updates you've snuck into the game. :p

if you have modded your current car; a easyer way is to go to garage, change car, enter carsettings of your modded car and leave, BHP will be updated automaticly.

Yes Don you are 100% correct, that was the way I did it all along when I started modding at first, however, I've timed it and have found myself quicker getting an oil change then going through the garage route. For some odd reason it takes longer to load my garage nowadays then it does for GT auto. Also going the GT auto route means you don't have to get in, and then out, and then back into the car you are trying to mod. I like keeping the switched car number to a minimum. Also your way is king when it comes to cars that can't be heavily modified in GT auto and have already had an oil change and wash before you modded it. :y:

delete your gamedata, start GT5, install updates and cancel updates when game start to download update 22.
