Please explain what your trying to do?

1. Are you trying to replace a 'mod menu' in an 'update.img'

2. Are you trying to overwrite an old 'update.img' with a modded 'update.img'

If you are adding a .sco then you need to open the update.img with Open IV and replace one of the menu slots with your .sco. Remember to rename the .sco to the one that was previously there.
