Ive played GTA'S COD's etc and it hasn't made me violent at all? I actually answered this question for my English speech exam and got an A on it 48/55.. I brought up many valid points, this was last year so ive kind of forgotten it but the main point i kept bringing up, Video games gives gamers an open environment to experiment with braking rules etc and as GTA shows, brake a rule (Killing someone) the police will come after you and get up for your crime. So i really do think these games are good, you can take your anger out on them without actually going out and doing harm to anyone outside where you can sit and play a video game take your anger out and calm down. Yeah i raged at cod? Why, because everyday i got numerous killstreaks, ie MW2, nukes, chopper gunners, ac-130's, pavelows but why did i rage? Simple fact, i knew i was good at the game if i could get these all the time and when i failed to do what i do best, i got angry! It made me angry i wasn't proving how good i was, i was failing myself and that made me rage but it didn't want to make me go outside and cause harm/damage. No id play on until i got it, then id get a good streak of getting them every game and then it'd come to an end, it was a normal process for me, start bad, get good as the day went on and as night come and i got tired nothing went right and i went to sleep. Games arn't making people violent. The other fact, music, films and books are making people violent. Violent music, violent films.. God violence has gone on for years and years way before Video games were around.. In fact, i had the statistics, more people were violent because of the music they had listened too back then to the video games they play.
Kind Regards,
