Post: Veyron Turbo code and the turbo controller?
09-07-2013, 06:43 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I tried to add Veyron's turbo in to my Supra RZ. Didn't work, it had only 611 hp and because of the Dunlop Skyline engine. Which are the right codes?

what do you want? if you use the turbo from the veyron, the car don´t have to have 1001 PS (HP?)!
have you changed a turbo with success before?
if I add a turbo, I change 3 values... don´t know so much about adding turbo´s and if the third value have to be changed...

That sounds about right.

What did you expect from the turbo?

Just because the Veyron has 1200hp with that turbo doesn't mean it has the same effect on another engine, the veyron engine already had a lot of power to start with.

If Kaz implemented turbo swaps, he would of put in a WORKING in-game boost controller too so you could adjust PSi etc.

Although, make sure you swapped the boost controller code from the veyron too, that and the turbo are a joined system.

Edit: Maybe try a Stage 3 supra turbo's instead? Just un-install the turbo then re-install the high range turbo in-game, it will be the original Supra turbo's even though you swapped engines.

Get back to us.

think if the car has 1000 hp original and 1200 hp with stage 3, the veyron stage 3 turbo brings 20% more power than stock...
don´t know exactly! haven´t proved that...
instead of the veyron you can try the old beetle or T1 turbo stage 3... in original car it brings more than 100% more power... Happy

not the best one for explaining a controller, but if you put a turbo in your car, it would be better not to change the turbo of the car... but everything else you can change... ecu, exhaust, ...

the "turbo controller" boost controller is what controls how much boost is fed from the turbo into the engine. more boost more air more power , like what herpycherp said ,if only we are able to control how much psi we wouldn't have to mess with all this turbo swapping and just turn up the boost , although i read and heard somewhere that there is no existing "turbo/boost" maps in the game at all. although i may be wrong

People have been successful in manipulating the values of the boost controller code and getting more power (in a realistic manner).

You have to remember, if you want to properly swap turbo's, the controller code has to match the turbo for it to be a stable swap, you can get weird power maps if you mix controllers and turbo codes.

But you're right, hopefully GT6 we may get more options than just Stage 1/2/3. Boost controllers are an essential part of tuning a turbo car, they should be in the game!
