Post: Another hex editing problem

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); once again my saves are messed up. I used bruteforce to decrypt the files and then i manually open the gt5 file from the folder with hex editor, since bruteforce doesn't realise what "default hex editor" means. I search my psn and change the hex FF code to 74, save and encrypted, The basic stuff you know. I use luca's 1.5 gt editor to mod my cars. I was going to engine and chassis swap a R31 for drifting, changed all the parts to what i wanted, saved and moved my files back to my ps3. My game is stuck at the Gran turismo 5 loading screen, not the logo. I reopened the save on my comp, and both the decrypter and hex editor say that it can't find my psn. tried 2 decrypters and 2 other cars, nothing has worked.

This happened to me. I tried multiple things and couldn't get past the loading screen, even after switching to a backup with hybrids, then another backup that had no modding on it whatsoever. I ended up deleting the profile from my ps3 and starting another one.

I have found that you should do your modding in separate stages. By this I mean, you can use 1.3.1, 1.5a, and/or 1.6 then use bruteforce and hex. If you do BF/hex first the garage editors don't like to open the files sometimes, and you would have to enter the game, play with your cars, then go back to a garage editor afterwards.

Could you be changing the wrong hex code to 74? what i did because i wasnt going to bother taking time to find it was uselucas 1.6 to just switch the FF> 74 so there is no way to mess it up then mod my cars... but thats just me.
