Are you trying to use someone else's save? If so it will not work as you need to hex edit your PSN name onto their save to get it to work online. There is a tut around here explaining how to do it.

Yes, I am using my brother's savedata. I have resigned it though and have used FarSideX's tool to change the "PSN" box to my username. Could you possibly share the link to that thread you were talking about?
