I have the EU pkg for the Anniversary Racing Gear but own the BCUS98296 US copy, Id prefer to use the copy I bought over DL the EU edition to use them (I have a save game with them activated already)

The pkg you are referring to only has minimal files in it. I have not tried it as you can usually just install the off region stuff and copy it over to your region (on the PS3, in game folder) but that one uses edat files that need fixing before that will work.

There are tools out there to do all the steps and I don't see any reason why it would not work in this case.

Im a guy who knows very little about computers Ive been under a hood since 85. I learn what I use on computers and while I can pick up well I often need to be pointed in the right direction to get started.

Im struggling to find any program that will do that (I dont really know what Im looking for) and my searches are turning up nothing I can make out as what im looking for.

Any direction? A program name or something to go on?

Maybe aldostools would help. Like I said though I have not tried to do this myself but since you can make your own packages for homebrew apps written for the PS3 and it is possible to decrypt .pkgs it should work.

Im gonna find out. I have successfully dycrypted and dumped the pkg with a psp tool. I need something to either change regions for me (app) or something to let me edit the SFO file to change regions then something to rebuild the pkg not sure what happens with raps files I have for it as they are for the old region. This shit is no jokes complicated

You need to edit the edat files, you may need the rap to decrypt that. You can just use a hex editor once they are decrypted. The edat files will have the region code the pkg relates to inside them.

I have a vou27.edat file in my dump,

I found the region code in the PARAM.SFO file and changed it to BCUS98296

I see

Inside the edat with hxd
