I do not think GTP "tuners" can handle this, as I've made a few attempts to open the door, but they will not enter.. I guarantee they are only scared of being exposed as "know nothing" tuners and potentially get their tuning theories tossed out the window while doing 150mph.

This is an Open experiment to Anybody and no Deadline

The base of the experiment is to test out how Polyphony Digital themselves Tune cars in the game based on the tuning of the same car in real life.

The Car

Nismo GT3 GTR STD spec with an oil change at 617pp

This car has a Polyphony Digital Tuned Suspension, and many over at GTP have condemned the set up calling it shit or whatever, but seriously they have no clue what they are talking about, most never even been to a race track let alone driven on one, they do not have the knowledge / ability to make such assessments.

The fact of the matter is this. The suspension tune done by Polyphony Digital is one of the best set ups I've ever driven in the GT series, from GT to GT6. All that it requires is the driver to tune in the downforce and diff to their driving style. Simple as that.

My Tuning experiment is designed to not only provide some competitive fun for members who take part, but it will also advance the tuning ability of those who do & may even enlighten spectators.

The Experiment is Simple

Tune the Nismo GT3 GTR (or any variant) for the Silverstone GP circuit without messing up the suspension.

Q: what's so special about that?

A: Tuning Restrictions

Tuners can ONLY adjust downforce and differential settings. No touching of the gears allowed, and there are only 2 options for suspension tuning. This is to force the tuner to use the camber and other default settings on the car, push the PD tune as far as possible.

1st Default un adjustable settings all as is OR the adjusted dampers and ARB settings when an adjustable suspension is added without touching them.

Basically the suspension variation comes down to 2 options.

A) Default

Comp 1/1
Ext 1/1
ARB 1/1

Or

B) Adj sus default settings

Comp 2/2
Ext 2/3
ARB 3/3

Tuners should start tuning after leveling off the downforce. Start with 250/650 this will neutralize the car greatly and is a much better starting point for tuning the car.

I will drive and comment on all set ups posted and welcome anybody to test them and post up results and opinions.

The use of Driving Assist is forbidden. ASSIST defeat the purpose of tuning and fubar the realism of the game. Driving line will be allowed as will bumper or 3rd person cam as many are familiar like this, but I would prefer ALL drivers use Cockpit Cam. No ASM, TCS, ABS, SRF, or Active Steering allowed.

Each set up will obviously be very specified to the driver, this is what we are after so get the car as fast as you can inside regulations. Tuners are asked to push their set up at Silverstone and I welcome Tuners to post lap times using their car. Please its very important to post the fastest laps possible.

Whoever put's up the fastest lap each week (Sundays Ill check) will get a Custom Turbo Code request I will personally put together for them. I know its nothing uber special, when I figure out a better weekly reward Ill update, suggestions are welcome.

I have a nice Idea to!

Today i look at the Hotlap Seasonal Events.

US Cars, non Racing Cars, up to 1669, 500PP on Sports Hard.

Anyone choose the Ford GT40 Mk2 for the Hotlap. First this is a Racingcar, Ford produced never extra Streetversions and the forced Downforce show that are a racingcar. But this is a Mistake bei PD.

The funny thing is, the GT40 has the baddest Weight/Power Level from all Cars for this event.

Ford GT40: 4,84@1080KG
Shelby Cobra: 4,11@1100KG
Corvette C2: 4,03@1122kg
Shelby GT350: 3,71@1100KG

The Shelby has to skinny Tires i think. But the real Predator is the Cobra for this event. It has nearly the same Wheelbase and Tiretrack, it has wide tyres like the GT40 and much better Weight/Power Level plus no Downforce that breaks the Car. Rome is a Track where u only on the straights has enough Speed, to use the effekt from the Downforce. The Corners can easy handled by a good Setting without Downforce.

So here is the Chance, to show every Guy that choose the GT40, he is a Lemming and follow a Bunch of Idiots!

I have no idea what that has to do with the event Im trying to hold here. That is way off topic.

There were Road going GT40's and the GT40 MK I in GT6 is just that, Its a road going MK I GT40. Notice it has turning signals in the front bumper, those aren't needed on race cars

The downforce is a PD issue, many car should be credited with some downforce the body produces due to design and they are not while some are. The Race version of this GT40 doesn't have a huge wing or much different as far as shape, so theoretically any downforce credited to the race car should be credited the the road car with the same shape, but then again that downforce is adjustable on the race car in GT6 so they clearly are more trying to keep a balanced system across cars. Some need additional manipulation probably to better match performance specs / car behavior, however that's speculation on how PD does things.


But Please keep post on topic, Id love to see some lap times.

too bad a didn't understand some parts of that you writed (i'm french ... and asume you could be because some of your videos use french GT version ^^)

i'm not skilled (hardly get the silver medal time in seasonal event) but love GT6 without any drive assist (i only didn't use my g27 clutch because GT6 is not realy realistic with it).

i'll be realy happy to participate to this gt3 tuning post, but if you're french please could you translate your post ?

J'ai voulu mettre ensemble un tuning défi/expérience comme cela pour un peu de temps. Je ne pense pas GTP "tuners" peut gérer cela, comme je l'ai fait quelques tentatives pour ouvrir la porte, mais ils ne seront pas entrer.. Je peux vous garantir qu'ils sont seulement peur d'être exposées en tant que "ne rien savoir" tuners et potentiellement obtenir leur accordage théories jeté par la fenêtre tout en faisant 150km/h.

Il s'agit d'une expérience ouverte à quiconque et sans délai

la base de l'expérience est de tester comment Polyphony Digital eux-mêmes Tune voitures dans le jeu est basé sur l'optimisation de la même voiture dans la vraie vie.

La voiture

Cette voiture a une Polyphony Digital réglé la suspension, et de nombreux plus au GTP ont condamné le configurer appelant il merde ou quoi que ce soit d'autre, mais sérieux qu'ils n'ont pas la moindre idée de quoi ils parlent, plus même jamais été à une piste de course et encore moins entraînée sur un, ils n'ont pas les connaissances / capacité d'effectuer de telles évaluations.

Le fait est que cette. La suspension tune fait par Polyphony Digital est l'un des meilleurs jeu ups J'ai jamais entraînée dans la série des GT, de GT de GT6. Tout ce qu'il faut, c'est le pilote pour régler la pression vers le bas et diff pour leur style de conduite. C'est aussi simple que cela.

Mon expérience Tuning est conçu non seulement pour fournir certains des concours amusant pour les députés qui prennent part, mais il sera également avance le tuning capacité de ceux qui ne & il peut même éclairer les spectateurs.

L'expérience est Simple

Tune le Nismo GT3 RTM (ou toute variante) pour le GP Silverstone circuit sans se mêler de la suspension.

Q: Quoi de spécial ?

UN : Tuning Restrictions

Tuners ne peut régler la pression vers le bas et réglages du différentiel. Ne pas toucher les engrenages autorisées, et il n'y a que 2 options de suspension tuning. C'est pour forcer l'accordeur pour utiliser le carrossage et d'autres paramètres par défaut sur la voiture, poussez le PD tune dans la mesure du possible.

1ÈRE des nations unies par défaut paramètres réglables tous comme c'est ou le reglage amortisseurs et ARB paramètres lorsqu'une suspension réglable est ajoutée sans les toucher.

Fondamentalement la suspension variation se résume à 2 options.

A) Défaut

Comp 1/1
Ext
ARB 1/1 1/1 ou



B) Adj sus par défaut paramètres

Comp
Ext 2/2 2/3
3/3 ARB

Tuners devrait démarrer le réglage une fois la mise à niveau de la pression vers le bas. Démarrer avec 250/650 ce permettra de neutraliser la voiture considérablement et est un bien meilleur point de départ pour le réglage de la voiture.

Je vais conduire et de faire des observations sur toutes les set ups posté et bienvenue quelqu'un pour les mettre à l'épreuve et post de résultats et d'opinions.

L'utilisation de roulage aider est interdit. AIDER irait à l'encontre de l'objectif de tuning et fubar le réalisme du jeu. Ligne de conduite seront admis comme bouclier ou 3ème personne came comme de nombreux sont familiers, mais je préférerais tous les pilotes utiliser Cockpit Cam. Aucun ASM, TCS, ABS, CRS, ou Active la direction autorisée.

Chaque jeu de sera évidemment très spécifié pour le pilote, c'est ce que nous sommes après donc obtenir la voiture aussi vite que possible l'intérieur règlements. Tuners sont invités à pousser leur jeu jusqu'à Silverstone et je souhaite la bienvenue à Tuners post chronos en utilisant leur voiture. Veuillez son très important de post les meilleurs tours possible.

Quiconque put up le tour le plus rapide chaque semaine (Dimanche mauvais vérifier) obtiendront un Custom Turbo Code demande je vais personnellement mis ensemble pour eux. Je sais que sa rien uber spécial, lorsque je figure une meilleure récompense hebdomadaire mauvais jour, suggestions sont les bienvenues.

Seems like a lot of fun, count me in im not sure when i will have some free time... Maybe next weekend i will try get my fatass to work on it. So if i understood correctly, we can only adjust standard features of car, no touching into suspension stuff right? And it can be any GTR GT3 version? BTW. I have a some theory knowledge about IRL tuning. (Becouse i don't own a car with adjustable suspension, and i have no track driving experience :( )
