LOL, Strange Situation. Upgrading from 1.06 to 1.01.. Its not still called UPDATE, its called DOWNGRADE.. ROFL :lol:

Anyways, have you checked if your GTA IV update data is in game data section on XMB? I noticed for some reason that my update data for some games would disappear from the XMB but they were actually in the HDD but the XMB did not read the game folder. Go to a file manager like on multiman and find the game id for your version of GTA IV. Then go to the " game " folder in your ps3 hdd and see if you can find it.
