(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am not entirely sure why would R* raise another update for GTA IV if GTA V is out, but my best guess is that they patched the mod menus and other mods. Anyways, here is the new 1.07 package:

I am not sure if the old menus still work, but my best answer is no, because it is simply a new update. If someone can confirm that old update.rpf work with the new update, that would be nice. For the moment, bye GTA IV mods...

Edit:
After many rumors from some close friends, R* is planning a ban wave. Another guy also rumored an expected shutdown of online servers. I don't think the shutdown of servers is legitimate, but a ban wave sounds real.
Also, it has been confirmed by GENERALSOULLESS that mod menus still work, all you have to do is get your modded update.rpf and replace it with the new update.rpf.

To install the mods, take the update.img and place it in the following directory:
dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30127/USRDIR/

According to sources, the update was to transfer the GTA IV Multiplayer from the now shut down GameSpy servers, to the Sony Matchmaking Servers. That is why the update happened, not because of a ban wave.
