No the time to install will drop rapidly later. I install 6 different versions with every update, it takes a while.

Its hard to grasp just how much work you must do to keep this scene alive.

Just set it up then do something else. Its weird the time left seems crazy right up until it's done, some insane time at times (lol) just let it be, you and many many many people have thought the super long time displayed was an issue right up until they just let it finish and it worked.

What update is it, and what was on it?

From 1.07 and each update after you have a 2 step install process, I'm wondering if a second step on one was missed.

I.01, 1.02, 1.03 thats what I mean by what update, what numerical update.

Was 1.07 and 1.08 2 step updates to complete, or did they all install one after the other?

Once you hit 1.07 load the game before installing 1.08, the game will do the second step installing the update while GT6 is running. When completed, exit and install 1.08 and again load the game (run GT6) before moving on to 1.09.

1.07 / 1.08 and 1.09 take 2 steps to install

1) Regular update install

2) load GT6 and a second install of the update is done
